Butter Cream Frosting

• 1 1/4 cup icing shortning
• 2 lbs powdered sugar
• 1/2 cup warm water
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon almond flavoring
• 1 teaspoon white vanilla
• 1/4 teaspoon butter flavoring
• 2 tbs wrappable dryer

Cooking Instructions

Combine salt and water, mix until salt is devolved. Cream shortening, add sugar, flavorings. Add water, Beat until fluffy. If too stiff, add a few drops of water at a time. If too thin add sugar. To use above for butter cream flowers add corn starch to stand in peaks 3/4" with out bending. Icing shortening is sold at cake shops and bakery supply. It is a high ratio shortening. This allows it to hold more sugar and fluids. It does not leave a film in your mouth. If the shortening is not available you may substitute vegetable shortening such as Criso.
